" Will there ever be another ? " was the question I asked myself, as I stood amongst the exquisitely beautiful creations at the ' VALENTINO - THEMES & VARIATIONS ' Exhibit, at Les Arts Decoratifs in Paris last July (' 08 ). The sheer luxury, opulence, elegance and pure magnificence of his designs were for me, intoxicating and overwhelming to say the least !
I first became aware of who Valentino was, back in 1985. The prized interview article I had so carefully treasured from a South African Fashion magazine, now takes pride of place preserved in a plastic sleeve at the front of my ' VALENTINO ' file; where throughout the past years I have collected many more articles on his brilliant work and luxurious lifestyle.
In my own mind, I have built a shrine to him; and worship his design philosophy and elegant lifestyle aesthetics ........
THANK YOU VALENTINO FOR BRINGING SO MUCH BEAUTY INTO THE WORLD !
